Who’s behind the lens?
Diana Cappadoro is a photographer who currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the University of North Florida and earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in 2022 with a concentration in Photography and a minor in American Sign Language / Deaf Studies. Diana won first place for a collaborative photograph in the “Pre[Serve] Art Exhibition” at the University of North Florida. She has had photographs from multiple collections displayed in three other exhibitions as well as an exhibition of her sketchbooks that she kept during her study abroad in Italy displayed at the University of North Florida. Inspired by her own jubilant adventures, she creates works that reflect these experiences. Recently, Diana has been combining collage and embroidery with her photography giving each piece striking depth. Along with her mixed media pieces, she has been making more thought-provoking photographs while still keeping authentic to how she identifies as an artist.
