Textures of Nature
In my series, Textures of Nature, I was inspired by the small details of my university’s landscaping. Every day when I would walk to class I would take a different path so I could look at all the plants, their leaves and buds, and occasionally their flowers. One of my main goals for this series was to document patterns and textures that occur naturally in the foliage I was photographing. I made it a point to not move anything, and to just merely document what I saw. I curated this series by picking photographs with similar color palettes, and recurring shapes and patterns within each image.
